- The DIAMOND Trio was founded in 2016 by pianist Silvia Patru and twin-clarinetist brothers Daniel and Alexander Gurfinkel. The three artists met during their studies at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin. In addition to touring in Israel, the DIAMOND Trio has appeared at renowned festivals in Germany, including Internationales Musikfest Kreuth am Tegernsee, the concert series Meister von Morgen - Dr.-Ing. Carl Dörken Stiftung, and Klassik um eins and Klassik um sechs in Berlin. Together with guest of honor Albrecht Meyer, they performed in 2017 in support of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation in Berlin.

- The Westfalenpost wrote: "The Diamond Trio with Daniel and Alexander Gurfinkel, clarinets, and Silvia Patru, piano, formed a brilliant team. In 'Carnival of Venice' by Alamiro Giampieri (1893-1963), arranged by R. Mozes, the audience almost wanted to sing along. 'My hat, it has three corners' was imaginatively transformed as a theme, as a waltz, as an elegy - dramatic, poetic, and even briefly taken over by the piano in a virtuoso manner. The audience went wild. All musicians played with exact ensemble precision, even in virtuosic passages. Longing lamentations were followed by energetic folkloric music. The audience cheered and begged for an encore."

- The Münchner Merkur wrote: "The Gurfinkel twins were accompanied by pianist Silvia Patru from Berlin. The way she built the foundation for the brothers' interaction - with playing that was at times symphonic, at times chamber-like, and at times jazzy - was fascinating. She had their backs, so to speak. With Yuri Povolotsky's 'Best of Traveling to Klezmer,' the Gurfinkels embarked on a journey through all moods of klezmer music. The clarinets laughed, teased one another, celebrated life, reflected sensitively, lamented sadly, and danced impetuously in polka and passionately in tango. These were twelve thrilling pieces, from 'Nigun' to 'Balagula,' and from 'Freilach in Rhythm of Swing' to 'Hassidic Dance,' all reflecting Yiddish life."
